Rafferty's Resort

Overview: Rafferty's Resort has been the venue of many Corporate Hoore conferences. It features a swimming pool, a tropical-style restaurant (ie tiled floors) and apparently has some conference facilities. Most importantly, it has parking for Corporate Hoorlicopters.

Getting there: It's a few miles south of Swansea, which is just south of Aeropelican. The resort is on the eastern shore of Lake Macquarie, just off the Pacific Highway. The easy way to find it is to fly up the Pacific Highway until it turns east-west (purple circle on map.) There, you'll see a turnoff marked by a big blue Rafferty's road sign. Follow the access road (blue line on map) to the resort.

Recon: Here it is looking from the north. On the upper left of the photo, you can see the Pacific Highway running east-west. Just above the instrument panel is the resort, the northen part of which is a nice field to land on.

Approach: You can come in over the little hedge if there is a south-westerly. With an easterly, you can come in from the lake, but watch for the trees!

Parking: There's plenty of parking just behind the pool.
